Obesity

Obesity is a physical body condition observed as a result of several factors like psychology, diet, lifestyle and heredity. It refers to excess fat storage in the body rather than mere excess weight.

Weight loss is different from fat loss!

Waist circumference

Men with a waist size of more than 40 inches and women with a waist size of more than 35 inches are prone to obesity.

Waist to hip ratio

Waist-hip ratio (WHR) is the ratio of the circumference of the waist to that of the hips. Men showing WHR of more than 1 and women with a WHR of 0.85 are prone to obesity.
